In 1871 the Hayden Geological Survey explored the region of northwestern Wyoming that was to become Yellowstone National Park a year later.
141 years thereafter (today), Karl, Doug, Ben and I investigated a fatal, skier-triggered avalanche in a valley named after Hayden.
