Currently out east with my family; drinking lots of fine wine, enjoying early morning ski tours around RLM, you know, the usual holiday sorts of things.
Word on the street is that the powder skiing is remarkably good around Cooke City right now, but there is also talk of recently buried surface hoar. (stay on your toes).

Out east eh? Any insight into Hellroaring region? Back in Billings for a few days and heading in there on a solo recon tour to see how things are shaping up.

DeleteOne idea could be to cache a bike at the Lake Fork junction on your way up.., ski tour the Hellroaring basins, then return to you bike via the Black Canyon. Awesome skiing/ scenery back in there!
Hah, thanks. Sounds like a fun tour. I guess I meant more current conditions type insight. Went up there today. looked good up high but logistics conspired against me to cut the day short...
