winter in Yellowstone

Skied the Undine Falls route today.  A historical 250' line just outside of Mammoth.
(someone left an old pair of La Sportivas up there.)

Wild there was a rope tow spinning from 1941-1994.!

Lots of snow accumulating up in the lower elevations..!

  1. Good to hear someone's still cutting turns at Undine. I grew up in Mammoth in the 70s, 80s and 90s and have lots of wonderful memories of skiing there. But it's pretty amazing the tow lasted as long as it did. I've heard that folks from Mammoth still come up to go sledding sometimes but I can't imagine the old hill sees many skiers anymore.
